Become a member of The Friends of Step Afrika! Committee and make an important contribution to a unique Dance Company which has been part of the cultural life of Washington, DC and beyond since 1994. Membership on the Friends Committee gives you the pleasure and satisfaction of getting to know the Artistic Director, dancers, and other Company staff personally, and gives you the opportunity to meet others who share your love of the arts. 

As a General Committee Member you will receive invitations to events hosted by the Friends, voting rights at the General Meetings of the Friends, and complimentary copies of the Step Afrika newsletter InStep, if you are not already a subscriber.

1. See Step Afrika! dress rehearsal (Artistic Director’s discretion)
   
2. Meet dancers, choreographers and other creative behind-the-scene artists
   
3. Receive regular newsletters and other informative literature
   
4. Meet with other performing arts enthusiasts
   
5. Attend social events by special invitation
   
6. Support Step Afrika!

General Committee Member ~ $100  Annually

This level of membership provides the ability to vote, participate in General Meetings and serve on a committee.  Members receive all Committee communication on meetings, activities, and newsletters.

Associate Member ~ $50  Annually

This level of membership is primarily targeted at members who do not reside in the Washington DC Metro Area but who would like to support Step Afrika!.  As a member you will receive all newsletters and be kept abreast of the Committee's local activities that are helping Step Afrika! continue to be a viable part of the arts community.
