Natasha Watkins, President

Natasha Watkins is a native of Brooklyn, NY and a graduate of Howard University with a BBA in Finance and has also received an MBA from Marymount University.  She is the President of Solutions Village Inc that provides project management and marketing consultation services to  private industry and government clients. She has successfully launched programs and products for companies such as AT&T, BT/MCI, and AOL.

Natasha grew up participating in strong performing arts programs in NY public schools and always took advantage of contributing to school plays, learning the violin, modern dance, and jazz.  Programs that were available to her as a child have eroded. She is a strong believer that children need art as a way to express themselves, establish discipline and to help keep parents involved in their lives. The Friends of Step Afrika! Committee is just one way in which she is ensuring that performing arts programs remain an integral part of our lives.  Natasha currently serves on the Womens Committee for the Washington Ballet, is an active member of Jack and Jill of America DC Chapter, a member at large of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc and a supporting member of The National Council for Negro Women, Child Help DC and Women in Technology.  She resides in Washington, DC with her husband, Ben, of nine years and her twins Benjamin and Nadia.
