Shareen Dash, Spring Event Chair

T. Shareen Dash is a lifelong learner, museum educator, and appreciator of all things that allow her to be a curious observer. Born in Brentwood, TN, she attended Spelman College, Atlanta, GA, where she received a BA in History with a concentration in Caribbean study. After working as a historical interpreter and curatorial assistant at The Atlanta History Center, she moved to Washington, D. C. to study Museum Education at The George Washington University, where she graduated with an MAT in 2008. After graduation she was selected curate an exhibition entitled, Afrikatalyst, for Maryland Art Place’s 6th Annual Curators’ Incubator

 

She has created visitor-centered and object-based school and public programs for a variety of museums including The Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Nashville, TN, The Atlanta History Center, GA, and most recently The National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC. She is currently living and working in Washington D.C. where she continues to engage the public with authentic and interactive programming experiences.
