Tynisha Brooks, Marketing and Public Relations Chair

Tynisha A. Brooks is a native Washingtonian and a graduate of Howard University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design.  She is the Principal and Creative Director of the Ty Brooks Design Group which is a Washington, DC based design and branding boutique that specializes in helping creative individuals, enterprises and nonprofits to actualize and elevate their visual identity.  Through her company, Tynisha has worked with such organizations as Step Afrika!, Capital Jazz Productions and the BET Foundation.

As an artist herself, Tynisha is very passionate about the arts and is a very active supporter of the community.  Tynisha believes that the arts help people maximize their fullest potential as the various disciplines offer individuals the ultimate vehicle for expression.  Tynisha is happy to serve the Friends of Step Afrika! Committee, as she believes strongly in the mission of the organization.  In addition to FoSA!, Tynisha is a member of the Greater Washington Urban League, Thursday Network - the young professionals auxiliary of the Greater Washington Urban League, the International Special Event Society (ISES), National Black MBA Association, Flashpoint’s Red Circle and the Federal City of Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. She is also serves of the Events and Marketing Consultant for Step Afrika!
